Who We Are
UPA was founded by Dr. Melvin Ratcliff, Jason Grant, Bryan X. Harmon, and Michael Ratcliff to leverage the community relationships and work experience its founders have been about for 30+ years as employers, service providers, law enforcement, educators, youth mentors and community development business leaders.
Why We Started UPA
Thirty-one years ago, life-long friends and brothers from Columbia, SC decided to work together to support their underserved local community with professional media and security services. As their business and careers grew, they continued to find ways to work together to build and invest in local communities in need. The UPA serves as a vehicle to expand our grassroots and inclusive community investment.
